Marivette González Rivera
Keynote Speaker | Resilience & Leadership Strategist
Most high-achieving women have been conditioned to excel and prove their place at all costs. The titles accumulate. The calendars fill. The accolades arrive. And still, the voice inside whispers: It's not enough. You're not enough.
Marivette González Rivera calls this the Not Enough Trap, a performance-driven cycle that keeps even the most accomplished women overextended, overproving, and disconnected from their own sense of value. Success was never the problem. Losing themselves in the pursuit of it was.
Through practical frameworks, emotionally resonant storytelling,
and tools grounded in real-world leadership, Marivette equips
high-achieving women to break free from this cycle, move beyond self-doubt and overproving, and anchor their identity so they can lead with confidence, courage, and purpose.

Marivette González Rivera is a Resileince Strategist, Keynote Speaker, and founder of MGR Driven , a speaking and leadership platform dedicated to helping high-achieving women lead without losing themselves.
A first-generation college graduate and seasoned attorney, Marivette built her career from the ground up—from serving as a Senior High Risk Probation Officer on one of the nation’s first GPS offender monitoring pilot programs, to leading criminal justice task forces, to serving in boardrooms, to founding her own law firm. She has spoken at national conferences, universities, and leadership summits, and appeared as a bilingual legal commentator on Univision and Telemundo and recurring guest co-host on Speak Out TV, a bilingual community affairs program on Spectrum Cable.
Along the way, she experienced firsthand what many high achievers quietly carry: burnout, overproving, and the pressure of sustaining excellence at the expense of self.
After a life-altering season of loss, Marivette made the decision to pause, reflect, and realign. Listening more intently to the colleagues and conversations around her, she turned to research to better understand what so many high-achieving women—and the legal profession as a whole—were carrying in silence. That turning point reshaped not only her life, but her work.
She knows the Not Enough Trap™ from the inside.
Today, through MGR Driven LLC, she helps high-achieving women and leaders across the legal profession lead with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence so they can build meaningful success without losing themselves along the way.

Not Leading on Empty: Redefining Excellence Without Losing Yourself
High-achieving women are meeting every deadline, answering every email, and holding everything together while running on empty. The cost is not just personal. It shows up in decision-making, leadership, and the ability to sustain excellence long term. Research shows female attorneys alone report burnout more than half the time.
The most elite performers in the world do not skip the pit stop. They know that stopping strategically is what keeps them in the race. This keynote gives high-achieving women that same permission and the practical tools to use it. Drawing on research, lived experience, and nearly two decades inside high-pressure professional environments, Marivette helps women reclaim their energy, realign with their values, and get back on the track leading at their highest level.
Leave with: early warning signs of burnout specific to high-achieving women, tools to assess priorities and make aligned decisions, and strategies to protect energy and lead sustainably.

The Not Enough Trap™:
Identity Beyond Achievement
Who Are YOU When Your Title Isn't the Measure? High-achieving women are celebrated for what they produce and rarely asked who they are beyond it. Over time, titles and achievements become identity, leaving even the most successful leaders quietly disconnected from their own sense of value. When the title changes, disappears, or no longer feels like enough, the foundation cracks.
In this keynote, Marivette González Rivera exposes the cycle of the Not Enough Trap™ and guides women through the path out of it, giving them the tools to reclaim their identity, lead with clarity, and build success rooted in who they are, not just what they achieve.
Leave with: tools to separate identity from achievement, clarity on overproving patterns, and a renewed understanding of what it means to lead from within.

Before the Profession Defines You:
Lead From Within
Emerging leaders most likely to burn out are not the ones who could not keep up. They are the ones who excelled at everything except knowing when to stop. The research is clear: the patterns that lead to burnout in senior attorneys begin forming before the first year of law school ends. Before the profession shapes their identity, emerging leaders need tools to anchor who they are, recognize pressure early, and build a career rooted in purpose rather than performance.
Drawing on lived experience as a first-generation college graduate, attorney, and leadership strategist, Marivette meets emerging professionals before the Not Enough Trap™ takes hold, giving them the clarity, tools, and permission to rise without losing themselves in the process.
Leave with a value compass, early burnout awareness, and the confidence to advocate for yourself from day one.
